Berlins Jazzanova is made up of members - Axel Reinemer, Juergen von Knoblauch, Alexander Barck, Stefan Leisering and Claas Brieler. For more than fifteen years the eclectic collective have been busy producing, composing, arranging, remixing, DJing and generally shaping our musical world – in the clubs, on the air, in the studio, live on stage, and with their label Sonar Kollektiv.
Their self-released "Fedime's Flight" started circulating among DJs in 1997 and things accelerated massively. Hooking up with Michael Reinboth's Compost label from Munich - already well established, with its Future Sound of Jazz compilations - they formed JCR (Jazzanova Compost Records), and beginning with two Jazzanova EPs in 1998, a torrent of musical activity was underway.
